By 2027, Volkswagen plans to release eleven new electric vehicles based on the modular electric drive (MEB) architecture. Volkswagen will solely make electric vehicles in Europe by 2033 at the latest.

VW ID.GTI has been kept several GTI design cues, including the red grille with the towing eyes, the flared wheel arches, the eye-catching alloy s, and the checkered seats.

The MEB Entry platform, a front-wheel-drive adaptation of Volkswagen's current MEB EV platform, will support the production ID.GTI.

The approximate dimensions of the production model will be 4104 mm long, 1840 mm broad, and  1499 mm height, with a wheelbase of  2600 mm.

A motorsport-inspired front bumper, a front splitter, a two-part rear diffuser, and a roof spoiler are additional features. All of these components are matte black in color.

The 12.9-inch center panel, 10.9-inch driver screen, and variety of tactile buttons are all near-production items, according to VW.

Four doors hatch will have space for five people. 490 ltrs of boot space could be incresed to 1330 liters with 60:40 split rear folding seats.

The VW ID.GTI concept precedes a front-wheel-drive, all-electric GTI that will be on sale in Europe, but not before 2027. The U.S. lauch is still unconfirmed.
