BMW R310GS Unveiled : First Look

The all-new BMW R1300GS adventure bike, which will replace the R1250GS, has been officially launched by BMW.

It has an identical 1,300cc displacement and produces 145hp at 7,750rpm and 149Nm at 6,500rpm, which is an increase of 9hp and 6Nm over the previous model.

R 1300 GS is now 12 kg lighter than previously, at 237 kg. The fuel tank now holds 19 litres instead of 20.

A new sheet metal'shell' frame   die-cast aluminum rear sub-structure reduce weight, dimension, and complexity.  Less expensive bodywork.

Gets new matrix LED headlights eiht 'X' motif, sharper indicators, more slender tail section, smaller and less flat pillion.

Four standard riding modes: Rain, Ride, Eco, and Enduro. A 6.5-inch Bluetooth-enabled TFT color display, scrolling wheel switchgear, adjustable windscreen, and LED headlamp with cornering function.

Radar-assisted safety features : Active Cruise Control (ACC), Front Collision Warning (FCW), and Lane Change Warning (SWW) with Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA).

Prices range from £15,990 to £18,465  which is roughly 16.-19 lakh and is likely to hit the Indian market in the coming months.
