Toyota has unveiled the fifth-gen Toyota Land Cruiser Prado which sits below the full-size Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 to compete with rival the likes of the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler globally.

The new Land Cruiser Prado comes with a completely new retro boxy design with rugged upright stance.

Based on the TGNA-F platform, it is claimed to be 50% more rigid than previous versions.

Land Cruiser Prados has been introduced in two trims. Land Rover 250 & Land Rover 1958. Both trim varies in  mostly cosmetic changes.

Land Cruiser 250 carries a rugged-looking metallic mesh grille which extends to the lower half. The housings of headlampis  rectangular LED units, with a daytime running light LED bar

Lower trim Land Cruiser 1958 comes with different visual appeal which has retro style round headlamps and circular DRL's. Some cosmetic features has been cut down for this varient.

The SUV measures 4,920 mm in length, 2,139 mm in width and 1,859 mm in width with the wheelbase of 2,850 mm and offers 221 mm ground clearance to house 18 inch  wheels as standard.

The 2024 Toyota LC gets multiple off-road modes, drive modes, climate control with 12.3 inch infotainment display and smaller 8-inch display for lower trims with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2024 Land Cruiser Prado is powered by 2.4-litre 4-cylinder turbo with a 1.87 kWh battery pack produces combined output of 326 BHP and 630 Nm in 8-speed automatic transmission, also 4WD setup offered as standard.

Prices in the US start from USD 62,830 (base) and 87,468 (Top) approximately. If Toyota launch it in India then it will sit above fortuner and below Land cruiser 300.
